Thursday... my newest projects.... and results of the pay it forward!! YEY!!

Well today is Thursday... I figured I had better get to work... so here goes...
This is all the pieces I used to start a child's bench... a foot board to a twin bed... three slates from an old bed... a could have been chopping block (a piece I got when the cabinet company close by went out of business for free) and two legs... off of who knows what...

Well here it is put together... it took about 1 1/2 hours to get it all to go together... once I finally found all of my screws... (don't say it... I know I lost them again!!! or still can't find them??)

I can't believe how easy it is once my brain kicks in and comes up with the ideas for how they should go together!!!

all of these different colors... makes my head hurt!! lololol

and here it is with a coat of primer on it...
I hope it will be really cute when finished!!

I am thinking of making it a reading bench.. it would be really cute for that... at least I think so...

And for those of you just waiting to see if I actually do finish a project... :D
For those of you that don't remember what it looks like... here is what did look like...

Here is my latest bench FINISHED with BUTTERFLIES!!! :D
Don't you just love them??? I REALLY DO!! (all except the one on the bottom... but it is granddaughter's (sissy's) favorite one!
Don't look a the pic too close you will see my shadow lolol.
(If you do look really close... at the very bottom of the bench you will see what I used to do the monarch butterfly... on of my magnets!!) Go figure ;-)
And here is what the whole bench looks like!!! O THIS ON IS MY FAVORITE!!! Since I have painted the butterfles on it... you wouldn't believe all the butterflies that we have seen!!!
This one is the one that I got a red ribbon on at the fair...
I wonder what I would have gotten ... IF I had finished it before fair???? oh well... story of my life!!

As for my pass it forward... well we have two winners anyway!!! YEY!!

Beautiful bench!! Very impressive... such an inspiration. Thank you for stopping by to visit our blog... in reference to your comment... we have Shoup relatives in Texas and California. We have been asked numerous times while living here in Kansas whether we had relatives here. It seems that a large part of Shoups come from the midwest. I look forward to your T2T secrets and finds... I hope to see you around!
