The best is to visit blogs you find on other's blogrolls and always comment and say how you found them.

Also, if you have an interest like reading, collecting, etc. there are lots of weekly activities you can participate in each week that bring you traffic. You'll find great blogs and soon you'll find a niche. If you don't love the weekly activity, you just don't do it anymore!
