I have been a really busy beaver... lol.
I have found a top to an armour along the streets of Burlington. I plan on using it in my den... to hide the computer and printer!!! And other stuff that everyone doesn't need to see upon entry into the den!! I will show you both the before and after pics when done... along with what the top part looks like!
Second... I finished the signs for my autumn... holloween decor. And I would like to say a kind thank you to mysteryhistorymom for her idea on what to do with the other frame... I love it!!
I also included a spider on top of it to bring home the point... ;-)
So cute... grands just love the spiders!!!
And third... I decided to follow some of the prim blogs that I have been reading... and LOVING by the way!!! So in order to copy... well to imitate... them I have spent some time painting on the last few rainy days we have had here... I went to Wal-Mart got some paint... Umbrella Black... to be exact. But... it isn't quite as black as I thought it would be... kinda has a real blue tint to it. It is sorta growing on me thou. Scoti and my mother both like it alot... so I taking their lead... and going to live with it for a few!! Time will tell. I painted my pie safe... and another cabinet that once was a bookshelf. ( Did this a long time ago... needed extra storage in my kitchen... but it needed to be skinny... I enclosed a bookshelf in 1x10's and put on doors... and some trim to cover it all up!!! and whalla!!!) And since then... I put it up on top of another book shelf... for ALL of by cookbooks and now I have the best of both worlds... storage... and extra room in a small kitchen!!my pie safe... and the two bookshelves
I have been debating on whether or not to paint a pie on my pie safe... or to just leave it as is...
Daughter thinks it looks better as is... I would like to paint the pie... because it will tell all where to find all of my baking supplies!!! Is that silly????
Now I am trying to decide on whether or not to paint the kitchen... cabinets... or what all!! The yellow and black... just don't look right... but I am sad to cover up all of my vines and flowers...
So I will show you some pics of the kitchen later... for a vote on WHAT TO DO????
And then another of my projects were to recover my rocking chair... it was orginally covered in an orange material... that I covered about two years ago in a toile pattern in blue... well I am over the blue color in the livingroom... so I had found some red denim at the "God's Store" in Burlington... and gave them a donation for it ($5.00) and brought it home... and recovered my chair. I love it!!!
to get it to look red... I had to turn the flash off...
otherwise it came out a real fushia color!!!
So please forgive the yellow hue!!

The red chair is good (but I would have loved it ORANGE, too)! And I love your black. You shoot, you score, as Mindy says.

You are very creative and cleaver. I like the paint color you chose.
